Time for a whole heap of hag
The first of Rare's four THQ-published outings on Game Boy Advance, bringing mechanical witch-hunting to the masses...
A Witch in Time

Gruntilda the witch, scourge of Spiral Mountain, once had a plan. A plan for world domination and youthful good looks, not necessarily in that order. Unfortunately, having a plan and properly executing a plan are very different things, and Grunty hadn't scored too well for execution - her scheme coming to an embarrassing end at the hands of Banjo the bear, aided by his feathered friend Kazooie, who left the witch trapped beneath a massive boulder far, far beneath the scene of their dramatic rooftop showdown.

In the months that followed, peace returned to the Isle of Hags. To the surface, at least. Below the surface, not quite alive but not quite dead, a deeply disgruntled (and decomposing) Gruntilda spent the long hours brewing up a brand new plan. And this time, having learned a valuable lesson, she had only one aim in mind. Revenge!

There were a number of places from which she could summon help, but even as bits fell off her decaying body, one thing Grunty tried to maintain was professional pride. Forced to rely on her loyal henchman Klungo to come up with a way to dig her out, she instead focused her concentration on the future. And what a glorious future it was: free of interfering Honey Bears and back-talking Breegulls...

Very soon, Banjo, Kazooie and their sidekick shaman Mumbo Jumbo will find themselves on the receiving end of a nasty shock. Back from the dead (after a fashion), Grunty and her remaining minions aren't going to let a little thing like history get in their way. Her devilish plans may have failed once, but this time the highly-strung hag has raised the stakes for Banjo and Kazooie: should they allow her latest scheme to succeed, it will not only permanently separate the heroic pair, but also wipe away the memory of Gruntilda's defeat at their hands forever!
